Weekend of Walking in Eryri (Snowdonia) with Bunkhouse Accommodation
Details
Join me for a weekend away in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park , where we will have two nights and two days walking in some of Wales’ most stunning scenery. Rocky mountain summits, stunning waterfalls, old slate mines and unique wildlife; it’s an amazing place and we’ll walk together at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone in the group. Accommodation is included and we will be staying in a simple bunkhouse in the town of Bethesda.

Day 1
On Friday afternoon arrival is from 16:00 hrs onwards at bunkhouse in Bethesda – it doesn’t matter if you can only arrive later in the evening. Meet your fellow walkers and join us for dinner, either taken in the bunkhouse or out in the local town where there are plenty of options. The town also has a small Tesco if you need to buy any other supplies. We can talk through the plans for the weekend and go through our kit to ensure everyone is well equipped.
Day 2
Saturday – after an early breakfast in the bunkhouse, and preparing our packed lunches for the day, we will then set off for the first day’s walk. This may be a short drive from the bunkhouse (usually 10-20 minutes max). This walk will normally be the longer and more challenging of the two days and will be in the areas of either the Carneddau or the Glyderau ranges. The route will be decided nearer to the time and dependent on weather, group fitness and any special requests from the group.

Day 3
Sunday – a more leisurely breakfast on the Sunday morning, we will then set off for the final day’s walk starting in the nearby village of Capel Curig. Again, depending on the group we can take a gentle stroll along the river, a walk to a nearby reservoir or even a strenuous summit hike to Moel Siabod if requested. We will aim to finish by about 14:00 – 15:00 hrs.

All of the walks will be achievable by people with a reasonable amount of fitness and the days will be relaxed so you will be able to walk and talk, and have plenty of time for photos and food stops. You should be able to walk comfortably for 6-8 hours. If you need any advice on preparation for the walks then this will be provided as part of the pre-event support.
